Atebits, the company behind both Twitter for the iPhone and the Mac, was acquired by Twitter earlier this year to become the official Twitter app and avoid confusion with the multitude of other Twitter apps for iPhone, according to the company. While Twitter for Mac hasn’t seen much progress from the time it was launched through now, the iPhone application has been changed quite a bit. Hopefully, with the launch of Twitter for iPhone behind them, Twitter for Mac will make some progress now as well.
