  • Vinotekasoft has unveiled a new major version of Vinoteka 2.1, the ultimate wine cellar management software for Mac.   • CreativeBe has announced the release of Rucksack 1.1, an update to its archive and file system tool. Designed by Apple Design Award Winner Dietmar Kerschner, Rucksack lets users open, create and convert archives, as well as split and combine files. The new version adds popularly requested features: opening multiple archives at once, deleting archives after opening them, and automatically showing output files in Finder.
  • Open Planet Software has introduced Smoovie 1.0, a new and easy way for users of all ages to create stop motion movies on the Mac and share them with the world.   • Zevrix Solutions has announced BatchOutput 3.8, a compatibility update to its popular professional solution to automate printing and exporting from Adobe InDesign. Developed originally for one of the largest ad agencies in Canada, BatchOutput offers output of multiple files as single pages, link auto-update, PDF preflighting, variable file names, automatic digital delivery and other time-saving features. The new update adds compatibility with InDesign CS5, export to FLA format and other features.
  • Maintain has released Cocktail 4.6.2 (Leopard Edition), the latest maintenance update of Cocktail for users running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. This version fixes a bug where clearing the virtual memory swap files may cause kernel panics, fixes a bug where the trojan RSPlug was falsely detected, addresses an issue in which the system log server (syslogd) may not be properly restarted and adds clearing of the latest variants of the HellRTS and OpinionSpy trojan horses.
  • Coladia and Anuman Interactive have announced the release and immediate availability of Nostradamus – The Last Prophecy for Mac OS X. Set in 16th century Provence, in a country ravaged by religious wars and devastated by the plague, Nostradamus – The Last Prophecy is an historical adventure game in which players have to solve a series of riddles and puzzles inspired by the works of Nostradamus, taking them through the worlds of astrology, medicine and medicinal plants.


  • Freeverse has released Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for iPhone and iPod touch. Based on the New York Times best selling book of the same name, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is the re-imagined Jane Austen novel following the young Elizabeth Bennet through her zombie battles in England during the Regency period. The official game of the novel, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a side-scrolling beat-em-up with twelve levels, terrific graphics and the perfect melding of zombie slaying action and touching romance narrative.
  • A new iPad app called Etude promises to help anyone learn to play music on the piano. Etude combines traditional sheet music with an on-screen keyboard whose keys light up to reveal the position of notes. The app also uses a built-in MIDI synthesizer to play the piece aloud. It ships with access to an in-app music store that users can download new songs from.
  • GAMEVIL has announced that their newest sports game, Soccer Superstars is now available on the App Store. The Soccer Superstars App is a full featured soccer game with five different modes; Exhibition, My League, Season Mode, Cup Mode and Dramatic Mode. Users can manage their own player’s skills, performance and attributes and also customize through the various items and events to become a superstar in My League. Gamers can also play a quick exhibition match, guide their own team to success in Season Mode, bring home a trophy in Cup Mode or relive a dramatic part of history within Dramatic Mode.
  • Slacker, Inc. has announced the availability of Slacker Radio 2.0 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. For the first time ever, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users can cache their favorite Slacker music stations to listen anywhere – whether they are connected to a wireless network or not and without incurring data charges.
  • Voicepedia, Inc., is now selling its new application, World Holidays Calendar 2010, available for both the iPhone and the iPod Touch. World Holidays Calendar 2010 is a global calendar that enables users to find holidays for the 2010 fiscal year in 241 countries and regions.
