I know what you’re thinking; “$20 for a pair of small, aluminum laptop stands?” I thought the same thing when first trying these out, but I’ve got to say they’ve made quite an impression on me already. The Lazy Couch stands are two small, rounded, aluminum objects meant to be placed under the back two bumps on your MacBook or MacBook Pro to prop it up a little bit.

The set of twin stands is simple, but the design is quite great for such a product. Both the packaging and the stands themselves are very Apple-esque, which is what Just Mobile was going for, I believe. Better yet, they match my unibody MacBook Pro perfectly. The sides have the same look and feel as the aluminum on my MacBook Pro, and the top has the same rubbery feel as the bumps on the bottom of my machine.

Lazy Couch Images

As you can see in the product picture, the bottoms of the Lazy Couch stands are black and rubbery, as well. They can snap together easily for portability, but they’re also quite grippy on most surfaces. When typing on my machine with my palms resting on it, the laptop didn’t slide anywhere as it might with other methods of propping it up.

Lazy Couch Uses

While I agree that $20 might be a tad much to spend on a product this simple, I have to say they are quite nice. Not only do they match my machine perfectly, they work just as I would’ve wanted. I didn’t realize how much propping my machine up a bit would help in terms of the angle at which I view the screen and the way I place my hands, but it really does. While you could easily find something else to prop up your machine in the same way, it might be a bit more difficult to find some that look this good and don’t slide. If you’ve found something that works for you, great. If not, these might be a viable option.
