Macintosh

  • Yellow Field Technologies has announced the release of iSMARTtrain 3.0.7, a major update to their training journal application for Mac OS X. iSMARTtrain was designed specifically to allow multi-sport and single sport endurance athletes to download training data, such as heart rate, cadence, speed and power, from a variety of heart rate monitors & power meters and analyse it in graph, table and list formats. Information about training sessions can also be similarly reviewed.
  • Zevrix Solutions is offering InPreflight Pro, its document preparation solution for Adobe InDesign, at 50% off on MacZOT today, July 22 only. InPreflight, described by Macworld as “delightfully simple to use”, combines batch-packaging, quality control and graphic reports which go well beyond the InDesign basics. For example, batch-packaging can collect shared links of multiple documents into one folder helping graphics and print professionals save gigabytes of space and hours of production time.
  • Other World Computing (OWC) has announced the OWC Multi-Mount custom engineered powder-coated aircraft grade aluminum bracket kits for securely installing smaller form factor (2.5″ & 3.5″) hard drives and Solid State Drives (SSD) into larger sized (3.5″ & 5.25″) drive bays in Mac Pro, Power Mac G5, and PowerMac G4 computers produced since 1999. Available in seven different adapter bracket kits from $17.99 to provide drive size use versatility, the OWC Multi-Mount gives Mac Pro and Power Mac G4/G5 users, as well as PC tower users, the freedom to expand their computer’s drive capacity and configuration to meet individual data storage and backup needs.

iPhone/iPod/iPad

  • SparkPlug Industries improves photos taken with the 3G, 3GS and original iPhone with a plug-in LED camera flash. Photos taken with the camera in the 3G, 3GS and original iPhones have often been a disappointment in low or dim lighting, especially outdoors at night. SparkPlug has developed a tiny LED flash that plugs into the dock connector on the iPhone, lighting the scene for photos or video.
  • Tekton Technologies (P) Ltd. has announced the release of MakeMyMusic 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. MakeMyMusic 1.0 gives users more control than ever before over not just which songs are played back, but at what time of day. Users can easily sort their music by artist, composer, genre or album, and even choose the time of day that each is played. By selecting morning, noon, evening or night, their music can always match their mood.
  • MobAc Design has announced EZ Cam and EZ Cam Lite – Remote Camera Sharing for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Make a wireless connection between any two devices using Bluetooth, WiFi, or 3G, then both devices can see the camera preview images at the same time and take pictures with the camera, including iPad or iPod touch. You can be in a different place than the iPhone, but still control the camera, as if it were in your hand.
  • IDAPT has launched the first of their new-generation ‘i’ universal chargers the i4, which builds on the success of the current i3 and i2. The IDAPT i4 is a brilliantly simple wire-free charger, that uses robust modular tips to charge 4000+ devices directly and USB to cover more. It is different from most chargers, in that it will charge AA batteries, PSPs, iPads, Nintendos, Sat Navs and more, as well as almost every phone and MP3 player on the planet.
  • SIS Software has announced the release of My Measures and Dimensions 2.0.1 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. This application allows you to add dimensions, complete with arrows, angles and text to any photo in your library, ending the need for messy, unprofessional hand sketches. With expert design and an intuitive user interface, this app has been receiving excellent reviews, right out of the gate.
  • E4 Software has announced the release of Critter Mash 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. This devilishly addictive app should look familiar to users that have ever spent time at an arcade or carnival. The object of the game is simple: “Whack” the cute little animals when they pop their heads out of their holes. Players use their finger to tap animals on the head to gain points. They must be careful because the game is timed. Tapping the wrong animal, could take time away from them.
  • Warp the Form has announced the release of Match Phrase 2.0 for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad users.   • Blue Lightning Labs has announced a summer sale on their popular Mathemagics 2.0.2, an application for learning to mentally calculate math problems at phenomenal speeds. Mathemagics 2.0.2 contains nearly 60 different math tricks for multiplying, dividing and squaring numbers faster than many people can use a calculator. Aspiring Mathemagicians can easily learn while progressively moving to higher levels of proficiency.
  • Edgar A. Nunez has introduced The Panic Button Pharmacy Finder 1.0 for iOS, his app that locates local pharmacies that may sell emergency contraception products. If unsure whether proper protection had been used during sex, the user can simply hit The Panic Button Pharmacy Finder for a scrollable listing of the 20 nearest pharmacies, including addresses and telephone numbers. Purchasing the “morning after pill” is simplified with integrated telephone dialing and map services.
  • FDG has announcd that Beach Bowling 3D for iPhone and iPod touch is finally available . It’s a brand new casual bowling game with an astonishing physics engine and excellent 3D graphics. The game offers some refreshing twists on gameplay with a randomized start position system, game console feeling and realtime day/night cycles. A gameplay video is available. An iPad HD version will appear in August 2010.
  • Minijuegos has announced Spiderly HD 1.0, their new game for iPad devices. Spiderly is a highly addictive game where you have to defeat the evil spiders with the help of four birds. Its beautiful colors and animations will make you love these little birds and the action of the game will keep you playing to the end. Spiderly HD is an excellent port with new graphics more adecuate for the big screen of the iPad.
  • Flying Penguin has announced a sale for its side-scrolling rhythm game, Skelanimals Dance Party, allowing players to pick up the popular brand’s title for just $0.99. The price drop will remain in effect throughout the Comic-Con weekend as Skelanimals takes over a booth at the famed San Diego convention. Attendees who would like to see the app can head over to booth #4513 and check out the game along with the rest of the Skelanimals crew. Also announced today, Flying Penguin has put out the call to musicians all over for a “battle of the bands” type contest, allowing artists to submit their best tracks in a competition where the winning song will be featured in the next Skelanimals Dance Party update!
  • PressOK Entertainment has announced the launch of the highly anticipated second entry in the hit Finger Physics franchise, Finger Physics: Thumb Wars. The original game, Finger Physics: Finger Fun, hit #1 in the App Store at the end of 2009 and has been downloaded more than 3.3 million times to date. The new title is available on the App Store immediately, with both a Free version and a Full version for $1.99.
  • Astro Ape Studios has launched Office Heroes, the iPhone game where every player is a straight shooter with “upper management” written all over them. Available for free in the App Store today, Office Heroes is open for business on iPhones and iPod Touches everywhere. Office Heroes, a time and resource management game, puts you on the fast-track to Vice President, allowing you to customize your avatar’s appearance and expand your swanky office with hundreds of fun and functional objects.
  • My Famous Portrait gives an opportunity to find possible ancestors among outstanding people from the past on the basis of facial recognition algorithms. My Famous Portrait helps its users to discover their twins on well-known paintings drawn by famous artists. All they have to do is to choose one of their photos from their album or take new photo and the application will find appropriate image on famous portraits.
  • Sarsoft has announced E Food Check 1.0, its food safety checking application for iPhone and iPod touch. With E Food Check customers can easily and quickly check the safety, type, detailed descriptions and side effects of every food additive according to the codes and names which are written on food labels. It is also possible to find food additives by name using the fulltext search function. Each additive has a rating and also has detailed information.
  • Little Ricky Software, LLC, along with Shadowline and Image Comics have announce the rocket launch of the Lady Robotika ShakyGlobe, the world’s first musical eCollectible ShakyGlobe for iPhone. The Lady Robotika ShakyGlobe will make its debut at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con as her first eCollectible for the convention’s attendees, commemorating Lady Robotika issue #1: Slaveship to the Stars!, the new comic superheroine from the minds of rock star Jane Wiedlin (the Go-Gos) and comic icon Bill Morrison (The Simpsons, Futurama).
  • HexaLex, the popular hexagonal crossword game for iPhone, has released a new update introducing “Shuffle Match.” The new mode introduces random, online matchmaking so players can find new opponents at any time. In response to player feedback, HexaLex creator Nathan Gray wasted no time releasing this much-anticipated update for the game. With the addition of Shuffle Match, a new world of online competition and exciting word gaming has been opened in HexaLex.
  • Jonathan Teboul, the developer behind other desirable Apps such as ContactsP, has released his latest innovation to the App Store in the form of TextGroups. With TextGroups you have the ability to send text messages to a large number of recipients without having to add contacts one-by-one using the built-in “Messages” application, which has been the default, albeit limited, method of communication with groups of relationships.
  • Sinecure Industries has announced Halp! 1.2, an update to their free Advice Generator for iPhone and iPod touch. There have been some major changes in this version 1.2 release. There is a new, larger font, a refresh button, crisper graphics and even more bad advice! Even better, it’s still free. “Halp! The Advice Generator” now has a refresh button location in the upper right portion of the app interface. No more embarrassing arm fat jiggling.
  • WebIS Inc. has announced two significant releases: Pocket Informant for iPad and Pocket Informant 1.5 for iPhone/iPod touch.
