Apple has updated their iPad App Store app to support the Genius feature you may be familiar with on iPhone or iPod touch. It’s designed to suggest other apps based on what you already have installed. The iPad version takes advantage of the extra screen space well. and even adds an extra feature: “iPad Upgrades.”
What’s new visually is the screenshot below the app title. A huge improvement? Maybe not, but it certainly would help me weed out the apps that are total crap, easily.
But that’s not all! There’s a second type of Genius recommendation aimed to help you identify apps you have installed that were designed for iPhone but now have iPad specific versions. If you don’t keep track of new apps, this is a great way to stay aware of the apps you already care about.
