Apps

  • SPMobile.net has announced iDleFrame 1.4, an update to its bestselling picture frame with clock and calendar for iPad. iDleFrame aims to position itself as a feature rich replacement for the iPad’s built-in slideshow. Based on the device’s orientation, iDleFrame allows users to select the area of their photos to be displayed. iDleFrame now includes a scheduled “black screen” to simulate sleep mode and the option to turn On/Off the zooming animation on picture transitions.
  • GoDesign has released GoDesign 1.0.1 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. GoDesign was created by designers for designers, offering an organizational tool and mobile business solution for easier, more cost effective design project management. The application handles and stores incredible amounts of detailed information, freeing up time and creativity for interior design professionals and amateurs, alike.
  • Valley Development GmbH has announced B.iCycle 2.0.2 for all iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad users. Made for the cyclist, this cutting-edge technology blends the function of a cyclometer together with GPS technology in this all-in-one app. B.iCycle is a handlebar-mounted tour guide that will get the rider to where they’re going with the route of their choice, while recording vital data like current, average and maximum speed, distance traveled and more.
  • Embraceware Software has released Awaken 1.7 for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Awaken is a full screen clock, music alarm clock, sleep timer and flashlight in a single universal package for all iOS devices. Works great as a night table or desk clock. Supports both portrait and landscape modes. Version 1.7 featurees full high resolution support for the iPhone 4 Retina display and iOS 4 features such as local notifications for alarms.
  • BazibaLab has released JetCow 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The game requires players to feed their cow enough grass to fill five bottles of milk then make it fly or jump to higher platforms, collecting points and rewards as they go. Players can challenge their friends to games, as well as share their scores and rewards online. BazibaLab developers plan on keeping the fast paced, challenging game fresh and exciting by adding new elements every three to four weeks.

This release of Space Battle is the latest offering in the Space Battle app family, preceded by the Lite and HD versions of this block puzzle game. Space Battle can be played alone without any special equipment, or with two players, using Apple’s Bluetooth game kit.
  • App Beast Inc. has released 100+ in 1: App Bot Pro 3.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. App Bot Pro offers a host of applications in one. There is definitely something for everyone, whether a user wants to know their Basal Metabolic Rate, translate languages or find drink recipes. Developers have rewritten the app from the ground up, incorporating more than one hundred new features and changes.
  • Zikera has released Groove 1.3 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. Groove is an exceptional, feature-rich app that plays music automatically, based on a user’s listening habits. The 1.3 version is a major update, offering the in-app purchase of an enhancement package at a very affordable price. The package features tags for automatically organizing a user’s ipod library.   • Hunter Research and Technology has announced Theodolite 2.0 on the iTunes App Store. This novel multi-function augmented reality app serves as a compass, GPS, map, zoom camera, rangefinder, and two-axis inclinometer. Version 2.0 adds multitasking support and background task completion for iOS 4, a new optical-mechanical calibration, use of the iPhone 4 gyro for improved inclinometer measurements, and high resolution artwork for the iPhone 4 Retina display.
  • Go Forth Apps has announced I Am Vampire 1.0 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. I Am Vampire allows users to transform themselves into a Vampire using the iPhone camera or photos from their albums. First, the app adjusts eye color of people in the photo to topaz, crimson or black. Then fangs are added and an impressive “vampire glow” effect is applied. Finally, users can add sparkle to their skin.
  • Azkend HD—the critically acclaimed and popupar action puzzle game for iPad—is now only $1.99 or 1.59€, which is 60% off. The sale starts August 9th, 2010, and lasts only a limited time.
  • HandyGames has released their latest action game: Shark or Die (without doubt one of the bloodthirstiest apps for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad). The game follows the FREEMIUM model and consists of a free base version that can be expanded by purchasing additional content packs: the Meat Pack, the Blood Pack and the Shark Pack.
  • Ascii Studios has introduced Talking Headz 1.0 for iOS, their social networking app which allows the user to create, email, and post original character animation movies containing their own morphed voice. Choosing one of five included characters the user records their voice message. On playback, the character’s mouth moves to pronounce each word. In addition, vocal pitch, tempo, and resonance can be altered to create humorous effects. iPhone and iPad have internal mics, iPod does not.

  • PhatWare Corporation has announced WritePad 4.1, an update to their advanced handwriting recognition software for iPhone and iPod touch. WritePad lets users take notes in their own handwriting with an iPhone stylus pen, or a finger. The state-of-the-art handwriting recognition software will adapt and learn while it is being used, improving the recognition quality over time. Version 4.1 now includes a Twitter client, which allows users to compose Twitter updates in their own handwriting.
  • Livio Radio has announced its Livio Car Internet Radio app for iPhone is available now in the iTunes Store as a free download. The new app offers hundreds Internet-based radio programming options streamed through 3G / Edge or Wi-Fi connection. Designed from the ground up by Detroit-based automotive electronics veterans, the Livio Car Internet Radio includes a number of distinctive features. The app was named a Top 20 finalist at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show’s Mobile Apps Showdown.
  • Spacetime Studios has released Pocket Legends: Adventures (PL:A) a free update for its 3D mobile MMO Pocket Legends. Pocket Legends: Adventures updates the original game with features often seen in PC/console MMOs: story-driven quests, deep character development, open-ended zones and much more.
  • Gameprom has release Pinball HD 4 iPhone.
