When you need service or support of any kind for your iPad, you need to have your serial number. If you cannot find it on the back of your device (perhaps you have it covered with an adhesive skin), you can easily find the number in iTunes. There’s no need to remove the skin, just hook up the iPad and you can get you what you need in no time.
Connect your iPad to your Mac.
Open iTunes.
Click on the iPad icon.
Click on the summary tab and you should see your number.
If you also need the UDID, then you can click serial number and it will appear. You can use edit-copy to put it into an email or Applecare chat window.
