The latest update to the Netflix app is out with full support for Instant Watch on iPhone and iPod touch. That means you can access your Netflix account anywhere you have Internet access. The app allows you to find movies or TV shows on the go, add them to your queue, and now even stream any of the Instant Watch collection.
This update has been rumored ever since some curious user looked into the code for the iPad app on his jailbroken iPad. That previous version was said to already have the code ready to stream to either an iPhone or iPod touch, it just hadn’t been used to do so.
I’m still uncertain how many people really want to stream a movie or TV show to their iPhone or iPod touch and actually watch it on the device. A previous update added video output capabilities to the iPad app. I, unfortunately, don’t have the hardware to test if this functionality has been included with the iPhone or iPod touch version, but I’d really be interested to find out if it does. This one feature alone would be enough for many users to buy the video cables for iDevices since you could stream Netflix through your iDevice to a TV nearly anywhere. If anyone gets a chance to test this out, do share by leaving a comment.
Product [Netflix]

Worked great for me, except for the fact that when I dock my iPod Touch to the standard Apple dock (which is connected to my TV and stereo) I'm not able to watch on the TV. I kind of expected that, but was still hoping it would work. Any ideas how to make it work?
Love the app but Netflix needs an update soon that wil allow video output to tv on the iphone/ip0d touch. It would be great to dock my iphone 3g to my receiver and stream video to my tv! Currently i am on a free trial but make this happen and i promise you'll have another customer.
