• Frictional Games has released a demo for their upcoming first person survival horror Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a first person horror game with focus on immersion. It is a game where atmosphere and story comes first. Amnesia will be released on the 8th of September and can be purchased in Frictional Game’s own online store as well as most major online retailers. Do you have what it takes to survive?
• Apimac has introduced iDatabase 1.0 for Mac OS X, their Mac version of iDatabase 3.2 for iOS. Designed to permit bi-directional syncing between computer and mobile device, iDatabase is a complete personal database management solution. Ideal for tracking membership lists, expenses, projects, Internet accounts, etc., the app includes 16 ready to use templates such as Accounts, Contacts, Exercise Log, Recipes, and To Do. Creation of custom templates is also supported.
• LittleFin Software has announced the release of Chronicle 3.4, an update to their best-selling home finance and bill paying application for Mac OS X. The app provides an easy, graphical means to enter and track finances. Features include: automatic bill paying reminder; debt tracking; graphs and reports; and a sortable list of upcoming bills which can be paid on-line from within the app. New in this version is the ability to track income and compare it to bill spending.
• Yazsoft has released ShareTool 2.1.1, an important update to their award winning utility for Mac OS X. At the click of a button, ShareTool lets you connect to most Bonjour services running on your home/office networks from anywhere in the world. This includes Screen Sharing, File Sharing, Remote Printing, Secure Browsing, and more. In response to massive demand, ShareTool 2.1.1 delivers iTunes 10 Home Sharing across the internet, the ability to run ShareTool as a background service, and more.
• Sul sul zeedab nas! The Sims fans will turn up the volume on their HD and PC hardware this fall and rock out while playing The Sims 3 game on their PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, and Wii or when firing up The Sims 3 Late Night Expansion Pack for the PC or MAC. The EA Play Label of Electronic Arts Inc. announced today the robust music line-up for The Sims 3 for console platforms and The Sims 3 Late Night PC/MAC that includes music from a variety of genres such as hip-hop, alternative, pop, rock, electronic, and more. Artists from around the world including Travie McCoy, 3oh!3, Flo Rida featuring Jovi, Kelly Rowland, Kelis, and more recorded current or upcoming hit singles from their latest albums in an entirely new language, Simlish, which is the official language of The Sims franchise.
• Playrix Entertainment has released Fishdom 2 Premium Edition for Mac OS. In Fishdom 2 Premium Edition, players complete match-3 levels to earn cash which can then be used on building up the aquariums of their own design. Players create their Fishdoms by adding exotic fish, various ornaments and comfort items to their tanks. Fishdom 2 is the sixth title in the Fishdom series, not counting the game’s recent adaptation for Facebook and soon to be launched iPad port Fishdom HD.
