Software

  • Zenopolis has released Gallery Grabber QED 1.0, an image download tool for Mac OS X. Gallery Grabber is a tool for downloading graphic files from web based picture galleries. Links to gallery pages can be dragged to the Gallery Grabber interface or the application can be launched directly from a browser using a Safari or Firefox extension. Gallery Grabber extracts only the gallery images themselves – leaving banners, thumbnails and page design behind. Gallery Grabber QED is $5.00 (USD), a Universal Binary for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or later.
  • publicspace.net has released Vitamin-R 1.28, its productivity tool for creative professionals. Vitamin-R is a collection of tools and techniques designed to overcome productivity challenges, such as managing attention and maintaining motivation. Vitamin-R breaks down large, vaguely defined tasks into a series of short time slices of between 10 and 30 minutes, each with specific, easily reachable and actionable objectives. Version 1.28 improves support for the Pomodoro productivity technique.

Hardware

  • QuickerTek Inc. today introduces the newest 802.11n device the Quicky3. This 3rd generation Quicky is an improvement over the previous Quicky models. Having a mile line of sight range, detachable 5dbi antenna which can be replaced with different antennas, 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz unit compatible with just about every wireless router out there. The best part is that Quicky3 is only half the price of the previous Quicky models and is available from QuickerTek’s webstore or from participating resellers.
