For one, if you haven’t already done so, launch iTunes 10 to get iOS 4.1 for your iPhone or iPod Touch. This update brings some neat little additions to the iOS platform such as the ability to take HDR photos from within Apple’s camera application. Many people have already been noticing better images when using this feature. However, 4.1 also allows users to rent TV shows through iTunes, upload HD videos to YouTube, and have access to Game Center.
Even with these additional features, one thing still stands out about this update—it improves iOS 4 performance to a usable level on the iPhone 3G. Many users have been noting this across the internet, and it’s definitely a great thing for owners of iPhone 3Gs. They can now have the 4.0.1 PDF exploit patch on their phones without having to destroy their performance.
It took a while, but I’m glad it’s finally happened.
