iTunes 10.2Along with all of the exciting things that came with yesterday’s iPad 2 event comes the public release of iTunes 10.2. The new update adds support for the upcoming iOS 4.3, which will be released alongside the iPad 2 on March 11th for the most recent iDevices: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 GSM, iPad, iPad 2, and the 3rd and 4th generations of the iPod touch (Verizon iPhone 4 owners are left out for now).

Also included in iTunes 10.2 is improved Home Sharing, as noted by Apple: “Browse and play from your iTunes libraries with Home Sharing on any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.3.” The download weighs in at 35.5 MB and can be obtained from Apple’s website or via Software Update.

In case you’re worried about whether this update will affect future jailbreaking, it has been verified as safe by well-known iOS hacker MuscleNerd, so feel free to go ahead and update.
