Zenonia 3 now available for iPhone and iPod touch

Every time I play the RPG Zenonia on my iPhone, I think I’d rather be playing it on the Wii. It’s that big, and it’s that good. And although Gamevil hasn’t yet given us that, they have given us Zenonia 3: The Midgard Story, now available for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad (sadly, though, it’s not a Universal app).

In ZENONIA 3, players will guide Chael through a fateful journey in search for his destiny and the truth about his mysterious father, Regret. The vast realm of Midgard spans well over 200 maps and a hundred quests, from fiery depths to the open skies populated by creatures and legendary monsters. Four distinct melee and ranged character classes each have 13 active skills and 9 passive skills in addition to combos, and the introduction of a new Fairy helper-system adds another layer of leveling strategy. Streamlined inventory and item management lets players focus on the action. Also, 48 new Game Center achievements and in-game titles give special stat boosts and a new Execution Room Mode allows for single or asynchronous co-op play for loot, in addition to the returning online PvP arena.

Fans (and critics) of the first two Zenonia games will likely be happy to learn Gamevil’s done away with the weight and hunger system. The streamlines inventory and management system will help you keep track of 184 weapons, 120 helmets, 120 armors, 100 gauntlets and 100 footwear options for maximum character customization. You can play the game in normal, hard and hell modes, in which you’ll take on over 200 types of monsters.

ZENONIA 3 is available now for $4.99 and is rated 9+ for infrequent/mild cartoon or fantasy violence.
