Both the iPhone Dev Team and iH8sn0w have updated their jailbreak (and carrier unlock) tools to support an untethered jailbreak on Apple’s latest iOS 4.3.3 update. Surprisingly, Apple hasn’t patched the exploit found by i0n1c that allows for the jailbreak in this iOS update, likely because the company released the software update in a rush due to the location tracking controversy.
The tools that have been updated include redsn0w for both Mac OS X and Windows, PwnageTool for OS X, and sn0wbreeze for Windows. The iPhone Dev Team’s unlocking software known as ultrasn0w has also been updated, although it must be obtained through Cydia via the repo666.ultrasn0w.com repository.
All iDevices capable of running Apple’s latest iOS version are supported by the jailbreak tools, excluding the iPad 2. redsn0w and PwnageTool are available to download from the iPhone Dev Team, sn0wbreeze is available to download from iH8sn0w, and ultrasn0w is available to download on your iDevice via Cydia.
