Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions

The much awaited Final Fantasy Tactics iOS game is now available for download from the App Store. If you’re a Final Fantasy Tactics fan from the game’s Playstation days, you will probably not mind the app’s hefty price tag of $15.99. Take note, the app is for iPhone and iPod Touch only. An iPad version of the game is scheduled for release sometime this Fall.

Another thing to note here is that if you’ve played the game before, you know there are quite a number of lengthy dialogues in the game that are essential for the story to progress. Unfortunately, unlike in the Playstation version, Final Fantasy Tactics for iPhone and iPod Touch does not support fast-forward of battle scenes and cut scenes. Square promises to bring this feature in future updates of the game, but for now you’ll just have to take this as a chance to review the story of Ivalice and the characters of the Final Fantasy Tactics world.

The game also features intuitive touch screen controls, improved loading times, and optimized graphics. By the way, for those who asking, the game works on the iPad as well, but the graphics are pretty bad when you choose the “2x” display mode.

So, are you ready to play this epic game again? I’m playing it right now.
