Sony has introduced a new speaker dock for all iOS devices dubbed the RDP-X500IP. The $299.95 system is up for pre-order right now with an expected ship date on or around October 2nd.

This docking stations has been improved over previous Sony models with dual passive radiators, an integrated subwoofer for deep robust bass, and Sony’s S-Master Digital Amplifier inside for more performance. The iPhone dock is on the front of the device which enables power supply, battery charging, music/movie playback, and remote control when docked, and Sony alleges the dock is made to work without you having to remove the case on your iPhone or iPod. This is a big deal since many cases interfere with dock connection.

The RDP-X500IP also has Clear Phase linear phase correction technology (reduced distortion and increased sound), and it supports the free D-Sappli app that puts a clock on the iPhone screen and allows the user to adjust the sound settings to your liking. The dock includes a wireless remote control, which let’s you control your iPhone/iPod/iPad across the room without having to flick throughout your music collection manually.
