If you were hoping to install the latest version of Google Voice on your iDevice, you’ll unfortunately have to wait a little while as Google addresses issues with the app’s stability. The app was pulled from the App Store after complaints were made regarding a bug in the sign-in code that causes Google Voice to crash upon launch. Only the latest version of Google Voice is affected by this bug, so you shouldn’t run into any issues if you have an older version installed.
Google Voice should be back up in the App Store once the bug is fixed and a new version is submitted, although there is no word on how long it will be until that happens. For now, attempting to download Google Voice through an old App Store link will only greet you with an availability error. Hopefully, it won’t be too long until the new version is ready and Google Voice is back in the App Store.
