New iPhone, iPad and iPod touch apps

  • OmNom Apps has introduced Scribblr 1.0, their new drawing game for iOS devices. Scribblr is a fun and addicting game that combines drawing with how well players know their friends. Users are prompted to draw a variety of things about themselves. Scribblr features posting to Facebook, the option to tag friends, saving to library, multiple colors to draw with, and line-smoothing. Players are also able to earn points and achievements within the application.
  • How to Tie a Tie for iPhone, which was named by Forbes as one of the best job-hunting apps, has been completely re-styled. All the instructions are now animated making them easy-to-follow and catching. And the most effort-taking routine of everyday dressing to work will be entertaining and fun, while a rich choice of 21 tie knots won’t leave anybody untouched.
  • Sunfish Studio has introduced Galaxy Pirate Adventure 1.0 for iOS, their new Game where players are the son of the Galaxy Pirate King, who teaches them skills to prey on vessels traveling through space. As one of the biggest space RPGs on iOS, the game features 44 cinematic cutscenes and over 40 hours of gameplay with 2 different pirate kingdoms. With some of the most gorgeous visuals ever seen on the iOS platform, Galaxy Pirate Adventure is like a console game on an iOS device.
  • GreatCall, a leader in wireless services focused on helping its customers stay connected, safe and healthy (and creator of the Jitterbug cell phone) today announced the immediate availability of the 5Star Urgent Response app for iPhone.   • Big Blue Bubble Inc. has introduced Dark Incursion 1.0, their new side scrolling “Metroidvania” style game for iOS devices. Dark Incursion takes place in an alternate reality in the late 1800’s, amidst an industrial revolution and a world war. The game offers a vivid steam punk art style with eye-popping pixel art combined with stereoscopic 3D action jump. Players have a multitude of bio-engineered weapons at their disposal with which to eradicate the abominations from the city.
  • HipGeo has launched a new “Trips” feature. HipGeo users can use their iPhones to take pictures and track their travels then create, save and share their trips, micro-blogging their travels with active and passive features.
  • Snow Day Apps has introduced Follow The Bleeder 1.0, their new zombie game for iOS devices. Follow The Bleeder is a mind bending, horror-filled, zombie game that actually works your brain. Your goal is to lead zombies to fresh corpses by leaving trails of fresh blood. Lead your zombies through graveyards full of open graves, land mines, heli-bombs, and more.   • Big Blue Bubble Inc. has introduced Hamster Cannon 1.0, their hilarious new physics-based gaming title for iOS devices.   • To allow users to hear “The Sound of Messages,” AppTones has introduced the first and only social networking app for iPhone to send and receive iMedia Messages: free messages that combine custom or pre-written text with surprising sounds and colorful icons. AppTones features a smart alert sending system allowing users to customize the tone to the message they are sending. For a limited time, the app is being offered as a free download from the App Store.
  • I’mOK, a free mobile application launched on the iPhone today, seeks to change the nature of family communication by making kids want to tell parents what’s going on in their lives. By voluntarily sharing their location, taking pictures, tagging friends, and sending notes, kids earn points on I’mOK that can be exchanged for wanted items, like spending money or special privileges. Kids can even earn their talk and text time.
  • UTV Indiagames has announced the release of RaOne: Genesis, an action-packed 3-D arcade game now available for free in the Apple App Store for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. RaOne: Genesis is a free-to-play shooter game in which you assume the role of G.One, a mighty superhero who stands to defend the world against the wrath of a surreal creation – codename “RaOne” – and its minions.
  • Runtastic has announced the official launch of our newest product, the runtastic Roadbike App. With a completely new user interface and a more than comprehensive range of features the app leaves nothing to be desired for a biker. In order to have all the important things in mind a customizable screen has been implemented which makes the navigation through the app simple and intuitive.
  • iSMEStorage now supports over 30 Storage Clouds and using its unique CloudDav feature. can enable direct editing of documents in popular iOS office editors such as iWork and Office2 HD. Users can upload files directly to the iPad and iPhone via a web interface as well as from standard FTP clients over WiFi. Popular Clouds such as DropBox, Amazon S3, Google Docs, SkyDrive etc are able to be directly accessed using the WebDav protocol in popular editing Applications.
  • Everything Techs has introduced Power Hitter 1.0, their accelerometer based home run hitting game for iOS. The player swings by flicking his wrist quickly, a movement measured by the iOS device. Pitches come at various speeds, and only well hit balls will go over the fence for a home run. The player’s speed and reflexes are tested as they attempt to swing as hard as possible at exactly the right time. For those that don’t want to flick their device can also tap on the screen to hit the ball.
  • Independent developer Swift Fox Software has announced their newest iOS application, DoneIt for iPhone 2.0.0. DoneIt is a simple and intuitive task management application that allows for lightning fast list entry, simple organizational functions and will soon be enabled to use iCloud syncing in a free update. DoneIt can be used to manage lists for many tasks including shopping lists, todo lists, project overviews, small notes and more.
  • Moonswing has announced the release of BOGOF Price Comparison for iOS devices. BOGOF is an acronym meaning “Buy One, Get One Free” – one of the many sales promotions used by retailers to tempt shoppers. BOGOF Price Comparison can calculate the relative value of different products, regardless of the promotional techniques being used to sell them.   • James Shaw has introduced Restaurant Finder! 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch.   • INTERSOG has announced an update of Interview Assistant Pro HD; Professional app to hire staff for the iPad. This mobile aide was developed to give anyone the tools they need to conduct, catalog, and review interviews effectively and professionally. Newly improved, Interview Assistant Pro HD version 1.1 includes a number of useful new features including a new Careers module, full Dropbox integration, extended IT question catalog, new interview templates, and much more.
  • CAPCOM has released an update that contains four new monsters and unveils for the first time the “gunlance” sword for Monster Hunter Dynamic Hunting on iPhone and iPod touch. To commemorate this update, Capcom Mobile will be providing a special offer for Monster Hunter fans by slashing the price from $6.99 to $0.99 from October 20th through October 24th.
  • IK Multimedia has announced that SampleTank Free for iPhone/iPod touch is now available in the iTunes App store. Together with the newly-released regular version of SampleTank, the two apps are the first pro-quality, sample-based sound and groove modules available for the iOS mobile platform.   • Putter King LLC has announced it has released the Putter King Adventure Golf app on the Apple App Store. Putter King Adventure Golf is a 3D miniature golf game for iOS devices and is the first game to feature crowd sourced hole design. Users can submit a miniature golf hole design to the 2011 Putter King Hole Design Contest for a chance to have their design featured in the Putter King Adventure Golf app.
  • Halfbrick, in conjunction with DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. and THQ Inc., today announced that the newest game in the Fruit Ninja series—Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots—is now available for download on mobile iOS platforms from the App Store. Stepping into the boots of the swashbuckling feline hero, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots offers two all-new modes, unlockable weapons and Spanish-themed backgrounds inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming motion picture “Puss in Boots,” out in theatres October 28.

  • Magzter Inc. has announced that it has started adding its client magazines onto Apple’s latest iOS5 Newsstand. Magzter just launched iOS5 Newsstand compatible magazine apps for India Today, the largest selling English magazine publication from India and for Galatta Cinema, one of India’s popular movie magazines both of which cater to the 200 million Indians who read English language magazines in India and overseas.
  • Everyday Giants has announced the release of the latest version of their best-selling recording app, iAudition, the revolutionary app that allows users to edit and email recorded files, and have them arrive as MP3s.

New apps for iPad only

  • The iOOTP Baseball 2011 HD update for iPad, which is free, is available at the App Store. It features screens redesigned to take advantage of the iPad’s larger display. As part of the OOTP 12 for Mac sale, OOTP Developments is giving away iOOTP for iPad codes to three people on Facebook and 3 people on Twitter. They’ll draw the names on 10/27.   • OMGmode Software Inc. has introduced The Body HD, a new fully interactive medical reference application for the iPad. “The Body HD” features four different system of the human body, including the brain system, the heart system, the respiratory system and the digestive system. Each comes with diagrams showing the systems and descriptions of the organs of every system. This highly polished application is built for anyone studying in medicine or learning about the human body.
  • Anh Do has announced Writing Kit 2.0, a major update to his robust Markdown editor for iPad devices. Writing Kit helps you write Markdown-formatted documents, export them as Markdown or HTML files and send to Evernote, Facebook, Posterous, Tumblr, and Twitter. Version 2.0 is a universal app that runs on all your iOS device and comes with Terminology, Things, and The Hit List integration, among other niceties.
  • Madrid based PixelMoon announces Urki, Beyond the Forest 1.1, a very special book application, written in English and Spanish and intended for 7-11 years old readers.
