iOS 4 gave users a way to save pictures/images to their iOS devices without having to sync anything to a computer. Now it looks like people are still finding new stuff in iOS 5, and one feature many didn’t even notice is that user can now save videos to the camera roll. In previous versions of iOS, you could save photos that were sent to you, but not videos. Now, all users of iOS 5 have the ability to save videos from a text or email message. While it won’t work for YouTube videos, it does with selected apps that come bundled in iOS 5 and through the mail built-in application.

There are two simple steps to save videos to your camera roll:

  1. Simply hold your finger down on the video clip the same way you copy or paste text on your iOS device.
  2. Select “Save Video” from the popup menu that appears.

It’s that simple.
