Christmas lights don’t have to be only for your Christmas tree or house, there are several Christmas lights utilities that will illuminate your Mac or iOS device’s screens with festive cheer as well.
Lightsphere LLC, creator of the Holiday Bells app, has introcuced Draw Lights 1.0, a new app for the 2011 season for creating Christmas lights on the iPhone or iPod touch. Decorate your own photos or choose one of the application’s holiday-themed backgrounds, then swipe to draw lights. There are 30 different lights to choose from, including mini lights, snowflakes, stars, and luminarias.
Draw Lights can use a photo taken with the iPhone or iPod’s camera, or an existing photo from the user’s photo album. Photos can be tinted so daylight photos can be darkened to look like night shots. The app also comes with nine holiday-themed backgrounds such as Christmas trees and reindeer. Once the image is selected, lights can be drawn with a swipe of a finger.
