It’s time to take your mixing seriously with Numark’s iDJ Pro. It’s a DJ controller that makes use of your iPad for a completely new DJ experience. It works with Algoriddim’s djay to combine tactile controls with the touch screen controls of the iPad to give you more control than ever before for mixing on iPad.

The iDJ Pro is one sweet looking DJ controller. It’s essentially a block of brushed aluminum covered with buttons, knobs and sliders. At the center of it all is your iPad. Yeah, take a good look, because it’s bigger than you might have first thought. The iPad connects via a 30 pin dock connection. Once docked, fire up Algoriddim’s djay app and rock the house. There are two large decks and all the lighted buttons, knobs and sliders you could ever ask for. There’s even a dedicated music library scroll knob to help navigate your songs. The iDJ Pro has it all.

The iPad brings a number of features with it. Not only is djay a great DJing app to begin with, it supports AirPlay. So does the Numark iDJ Pro support AirPlay? It certainly doesn’t prevent it. This means you can be the DJ from anywhere in the room thanks to AirPlay. But if you’d prefer to be physically connected, there are balanced XLR master outputs. Additionally, you can connect your external gear too with RCA inputs and a microphone input.

The Numark iDJ Pro looks to be one serious DJ controller for iPad. It takes the best of both worlds—tactile controls and versatile touch screen controls—and combines them in one feature-packed aluminum box. Stay tuned for pricing and availability.

And while you’re waiting, you’d be smart to start saving up.
