I am a big RSS geek, with close to 75 feeds in total. That is why on June 5th, I was pleased to see NetNewsWire 3 released with a bunch of great new features, including:
Desktop integration – Spotlight, Address Book, iCal, iPhoto, Growl, Twitterrific and more.
Great new look – improved combined view, feed “cover art”, full-screen mode, and tabs with thumbnails and animations.
Performance enhancements – all new article storage system, memory optimization, and more.
Synchronized clippings – read your saved articles from the web or another NewsGator read
The new features that have been implemented in this release, make it a very welcome upgrade. I had played around with NetNewsWire Lite a few months ago, but I ended up ditching it for NewsFire after the MacHeist Bundle. These new features make NetNewsWire 3 look all that much more appealing, so I might be doing some switching in the coming days.
