Best Buy offering iPad 2 for $50 off

It appears Best Buy is getting ready for Apple’s introduction of the third-generation iPad by attempting to get rid of its remaining iPad 2 inventory. The company is offering a $50 discount on all iPad 2 models on its online store, the first time it has dropped the iPad 2′s price since its Black Friday sale (during which it was $45 off retail price).

While a discount is always nice, this is probably not the best time to buy an iPad 2, considering the third generation is so close to release now. Your best bet is to wait for Apple’s announcement, which is likely going to take place early next month. A $50 discount is not justifiable when buying a device that’s soon to be replaced with a newer generation and become one step closer to obsoletion.
