This week on the Free Apps Roundup: iPhone owners are in for a treat thanks to SmugMug; they decided to make one of the best camera apps on the App Store and then just give it away. Readability finally released their iOS app for well formatted reading, and Sprint gives a little something extra to their subscribers in the form of streaming TV.

The Top Three:

  • Camera Awesome – The iPhone has a pretty decent camera on it, but it can still use all the help it can get. SmugMug decided to give it the help it needs with a pretty awesome camera app. The app has tools to help you take good pictures to start with, like the composition tools that help you line up your shot in a pleasing way. The app even splits control of the exposure from the focal point. There are filters and special effects and tons of awesome. Oh yeah, and it does great things for video too. You really owe it to your iPhone to download this one, because they really should be charging for this.
  • Readability – The web is great, but it’s not always the best reading format. Readability fixes all of that by putting any web page in a clean view for reading. Not only that, but it’s a service that saves interesting web pages for later when you have more time to read. And now the service is complete with an iOS app for iPhone and iPad. To get the most out of the service, get the free Readability add on for your web browser then just find some interesting content to save for later. Simple!
  • Sprint TV – Sprint is the newest carrier for iPhone in the US and they want to give their subscribers a little something extra. This app gives most Sprint data plans free access to live and on demand TV. The free selection is limited, but it’s pretty great they’re giving anything out at all. If you really like the service, you can subscribe for more channels at a monthly rate.
