Disabling iTunes Plus in iTMS

With the recent release of iTunes 7.2 we are now given the option of purchasing the standard track or a higher quality DRM free version on EMI tracks with iTunes Plus. For some (myself included) the DRM free version may not be wanted, I am not a fan of DRM but I am also an Apple and iPod user so for me the DRM is a non-issue. TUAW has a great tip on disabling the iTunes Plus feature so you will not be given the option every time you make a purchase, and you can still switch it back should you change your mind later.

1. Sign into your iTunes account and select View My Account from the Store Menu.
2. Sign in once again (yes, I know! How annoying!) and click on Manage iTunes Plus.
3. Uncheck the box marked “Always show me iTunes Plus music and music videos when available” and click Save Changes.
