If you’re excited about buying a third-generation iPad (I’m not sure what else to call it) with 4G LTE, you’re probably wondering what a data plan will cost you on AT&T and Verizon. That information is now available, shown in the image above. Prices are identical between the carriers, although with AT&T exclusively offering a 250 MB plan for $14.99/month and Verizon exclusively offering a 10 GB plan for $80.00/month.
Before you make your choice, you’ll need to evaluate how much data you’ll likely be using on your new iPad and which carrier is likely to support your needs the most. AT&T typically offers higher download speeds with lower upload speeds, while it tends to be the opposite with Verizon. AT&T’s LTE network is also still relatively immature, while Verizon’s has been around for a while and offers more availability. No matter which carrier you choose, you’ll likely be getting practically the same value in data for your money.
