Thank the media for this one. When Apple stated that the iPhone battery looses charge after 300-400 charges, it was assumed that all customers had to get theirs replaced for $79 (+ $6.95 shipping) every so often. Turns out they should have continued reading, or at least found someone else to continue reading.
In a little sidenote on Apple’s website, it is clearly stated that “a properly maintained iPhone battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity after 400 full charge and discharge cycles. You may choose to replace your battery when it no longer holds sufficient charge to meet your needs.”
