You might have heard the recent rumors surrounding the new iMacs: they’ll be released on August 7th. Hold it right there because Appletell’s highly trusted source who works close to the iMac development team claims that this rumor is slightly untrue.
The team is apparently experiencing last minute issues with the new keyboard. We can reveal that this keyboard will be very similar to Logitech’s diNovo Edge; however our source says: “it’s got a feature or two that the diNovo does not have”.
When further questioned regarding what these features would be, he responded with “you’ll love it”. Our source also mentioned that Apple would debut new displays for the iMac, although we’re unsure whether that means LED displays, different sizes, or something entirely different.
Update: After pestering and poking a bit more, our source let slip that the new keyboard will feature a built-in Apple Remote and snazzy backlighting.

The diNovo is a great keyboard, and I mean, Apple can only make it better. Should be interesting to see what happens.
They say August 7th we'll know for sure…but once the day hits and there's no update, they'll just change it again. haha.

- Let me laugh, if the keyboard isn't ready yet, it means that they only got a prototype of it, do you guys know how long time before a release a company needs to manufacture the product?, if the keyboard isn't ready _NOW_ , the new iMac wont be released until october/november – So appletell, ur source is crap…
And if appletell had a "HIGHLY TRUSTED SOURCE" – why don't you guys give us a more "true" date? , pathetic !
Well I for one will be very interested in the new iMacs, have held off purchasing an iMac until I see what they come out with, and being a fan of the Logitech DiNovo keyboard, can't wait to try it out.

The idea that Apple is going to move from simplicity of design to the cluttered appearance of the keyboard this article is suggesting is quite obviously bollocks.

Anyone else realize that there's no point in an embedded Apple Remote? Unless you want to carry the keyboard around that is. This entire article is crap.
I got here from a link saying the new iMacs will be delayed, but all this says is that the Aug. 7th date is "slightly untrue". Doesn't necessarily mean a delay – might (and hopefully) mean that it's actually been moved up!
