Das Keyboard brings “clicky” typing back to the Mac
There’s a new contender for the Extended Keyboard II and IBM Model M keyboards’ laurels, and it will be available for Mac OS X users in a couple of months. In the meantime, we have been supplied with an early production tester of the new Das Keyboard Model S Professional for Mac, and while a full product review is forthcoming, and it’s early days yet, I thought I would relay my initial impressions, which are so far very positive.
Das Keyboard Model S Professional brings “click” to the Mac
I generally like Apple’s keyboards, but won’t argue with those who disapprove of the feedback they provide. Some people just like keys that still offer the actual feel of typing. If you’re in that group, you should check out the “clicky mechanical” Das Keyboard Model S Professional keyboard, now designed specifically for Mac users, and available by April 15th.
CES 2012: Mobee Power Bar for Apple’s Magic Trackpad
Apple’s Magic Trackpad may be, in fact, magical, but magic requires power, and that power comes at the expense of batteries. Single-use batteries need to be replaced, and rechargeable batteries need to be recharged, meaning you have to keep removing them either way. If this is becoming a hassle for you, Mobee Technology’s Power Bar may be the solution for you…you’ll just need to sit tight until early March to grab it.
Apple announces Black Friday 2011 specials
We’ve seen a few leaks this week on Apple’s annual one-day-only Black Friday sales event. The savings on Apple products were accurately slight, but as in years past, Apple is offering significant savings on compatible third-party products. Save over $100 on Bowers & Wilkins speaker docks and various laptop bags, and you can get fun accessories like the Parrot AR.Drone for under $250.00.

You can also check out some new Bluetooth keyboards and learn about Doxie Go, which was just unveiled by Apparent.
Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 for Mac review
Back in July I reviewed the Wireless Solar Keyboard K750, a Windows PC keymapped keyboard that works fine with the Mac. Now, Logitech has released an official Macintosh version of this solar powered (sunlight and/or indoor lighting) keyboard, and in some respects it’s a more attractive product than the Windows model…although in one aspect it’s not.

Poser 9 and Poser Pro 2012 are both ready to keep you occupied for quite some time. Why, with learning about their new features, you may not have time for Free YouTube Downloader HD for Mac, Scrambler, Dramatic Black & White or the other software announcements today. You can still take time to install your NuGuard Keyboard Cover for 11″ and 13″ MacBook Airs.

Logitech’s Wireless Solar Powered Keyboard K750 for Mac, in five colors
Logitech has released its Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 for Mac variant, incorporating the same award-winning design and feature set as the Windows version, letting you say goodbye to battery hassles thanks to onboard solar cells that power the keyboard using ambient light. But this new model is available with Apple keymapping, and in five Apple-harmonious color themes exclusively for Mac users.
Logitech’s Solar Keyboard K750 review
ZNet blogger Heather Clancy has declared Logitech’s solar keyboard “Green Gadget of the Week.” I wouldn’t disagree. Logitech’s Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 is powered by light—indoors or out—underscoring its “green” credentials. Eliminating the potential of getting caught with dead batteries and no replacements at hand is an attractive attribute, but there are plenty of other reasons to like the K750.
