Contests and Giveaways
Is it too early to think about going back to school? Yes? Maybe? Regardless, it’s not too early to think about new speaker equipment, and that’s why we’re giving away an Ultimate Ears UE Boom wireless speaker to one lucky AppleTell reader. The specific model is the UE Boom – Jettison Edition, a limited run designed by skateboard artist Don Pendleton, worth $199.99.
Each year, while the AppleTell crew is on the E3 show floor checking out the great new games coming to the Mac, iPhone and iPad, the team back at beautiful TechTell Towers hands out promo codes for a host of great games you can play now. We’ve got a great lineup this year, and all you need to do to win is follow us on Twitter.
It’s Memorial Day weekend, which should afford you plenty of opportunities for some great photos: parade floats, C-130 fly-bys, family gathered around the grill, or perhaps something a little more reverent. As such, AppleTell is teaming up with Macphun to give away a copy of four of their popular photo effects apps for OS X, and all you need to do to enter is pay attention to Twitter.
As you surely know by now, Macworld / iWorld 2014 officially kicks off in San Francisco tomorrow. We’ll be covering the show from Moscone Center North through Saturday, and you’ll be able to read all about it here at AppleTell. If you follow us on Twitter, you’ll also be able to win some great apps through our annual promo code giveaway.
The iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s are here…in a couple colors, anyway. Get one? If not, we can help cushion the blow. If you’ll be using your iPhone 5 for another year, like me, we want to give you something else to look forward to. That’s why TechnologyTell has teamed with designed by m to give away an AL13 AeroSpace Aluminum Bumper for iPhone 5 valued at $59.99. Hurry, though. The contest ends tonight.
One of the more unique photo effect apps I’ve covered for AppleTell was BlueSpark Studios’ VinylizeMe. It’s a template-based app that makes it easy for you turn your photos into ’50s- and ’60s-styled album covers, providing control over text and various effects. It’s a $1.99 app, and now you have the chance to convert that to a $100 iTunes gift card through the VinylizeMe Summer Cover Classic photo contest.
Independence Day is just ahead here in America, meaning we’re either about to celebrate our freedom from those crazy Brits and their whole taxation without representation thing, or we’re about to watch an overblown Will Smith movie that was fun when it was released but really doesn’t hold up well at all. Either way, AppleTell is celebrating with the fine folks at indiePub by giving away two copies of Bad Bots for Mac or PC.
Fancy yourself a digital artist? Ten One Design, makers of the Pogo and Connect stylus families, are running a digital art contest. Five winners from a variety of categories will each win a prize package of $1,000 cash and some pretty sweet prize items, so be sure to check it out if the muse strikes you!
E3 and WWDC 2013 have come and gone, but our Street by 50 on-ear headphones giveaway continues until Saturday night at midnight PDT. The Street by 50s from SMS Audio are valued at $179.95, so don’t miss this chance to get a great new set of cans to hear all that game and app audio in its full glory.
Apple’s WWDC 2013 keynote brought us quite a bit to look forward to, even if an iWatch wasn’t part of it. But that doesn’t mean the week’s announcements are over. We’ve still got the rest of WWDC, and E3 2013 kicks off tomorrow in L.A. To celebrate, AppleTell will be giving away iOS and OS X game codes via our Twitter account. You all follow us already, right?
TechnologyTell and Geneva Lab are teaming up to give away a Geneva Sound System Model XS. Inspired by the classic travel clock, the Model XS comes in a sturdy leather-like clamshell case that flips open to deliver rich and detailed sound via Bluetooth, auxiliary input or the integrated digital FM tuner. It retails for $249.95, and today is your last chance to enter to win it.
Throughout Macworld/iWorld 2013, Appletell gave out iOS and Mac app promo codes thanks to our friends at G5 Games and Smile Software. Macworld Expo may be over, but we’re still in the giving mood. Beleela has provided us with a few codes each for iFile Browser and iFile Download Manager for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and to get them you just have to follow us on Twitter.
