Apple updates Aperture 3 with iCloud and iOS 5 support
Apple hasn’t made any major updates to Aperture 3 since it was first released back in February of 2010, but they’ve managed to bring a minor software update to squash a couple of bugs, including incorrect color profiles attached to externally edited images, crashes when using brushes, and a bug that limited Photo Stream from working beyond 1,000 images for some Mac users.
Apple releases digital camera RAW compatibility update 3.9
Apple has just released a Digital Camera RAW compatibility update, adding support for additional digital cameras in both Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11. Whether you have any need for the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.9, it’s available now (for free, of course) in Software Update and in Apple’s Support Downloads section.
Apple updates Aperture to version 3.1.3
Apple has just updated Aperture, its own professional photo editing and management software, with some bug fixes and a few new features, including the ability to upload photos, go full screen in OS X Lion with the native full screen button, toggle gestures, and load slideshows in the background. Improved stability and a few enhancements make this quite a worthy update for Apple’s highly-praised professional photo editing app.
Apple announces Aperture 3
Today’s Apple Store offline time has brought us Aperture 3. Aperture is Apple’s pro equivalent to iPhoto, and some of the features they’ve added today seem to play off of that relationship. Aperture 3 now supports Faces, Places and Brushes. In addition, there are over 200 new features present. It’s available today for $199 or as an upgrade from a previous version of Aperture for $99, and a 30 day trial is available.
