A recent update to Apple’s App Store, possibly on 16th of December, apparently caused issues for iPhone and iPod touch owners running the older iOS 3.1.1 on their devices. However, Apple has now quietly issued an update to the App Store, bringing a quick solution to many disgruntled iOS users who were faced with this dilemma. Even, though there isn’t an official statement from Apple, the issue seems to be solved.

“I am Connor Mulcahey of the Clan Mulcahey. I have downloaded the one billionth app from the iTunes App Store. And I am immortal.” Okay, that’s likely not how it went, but 13-year-old Connor was, indeed, the lucky fellow who download app number 1,000,000,000 from the iTunes App Store. And wouldn’t you just know that the app he used to snare “the prize” was free?
