Paper Glider is the 10 billionth downloaded app
After announcing that the 10 billionth app had been downloaded from App Store, Apple has now revealed the name of the app. It’s none other than (drum roll)…Paper Glider, a free iPhone game which lets you flick and fly a paper plane. Apple announes over 10 billion apps downloaded
It’s official. We’ve collectively downloaded over 10 billion apps from the App Store, putting an end to Apple’s 10 Billion App Countdown. That’s a lot of apps. And to think, it was less than two years ago when Apple announced the 1 billionth download. I think it’s safe to say that Apple’s App Store is kinda popular. This not only means that a billion applications were downloaded in a span of three months, but also that over three billion apps have been downloaded in just over 18 months since the store’s inception
Two billion downloads for the App Store
In case you missed it, Apple’s App Store reached two billion downloads this week, a little after a year since the store first launched for the iPhone and iPod touch. April saw the first billion apps downloaded, with just over half a billion downloaded in the last quarter. There are certainly no signs of things slowing down just yet.

After sincerely thanking the donor of his liver and Apple community for helping him make it through his tough time in dealing with health, he went on to offer some fairly interesting numbers about Apple and their products. Ranging from the iPhone to iTunes, they help to give an insight into where Apple will be focusing.
