apple advertising
How will iAds change the iPhone app user experience?
Today, Apple CEO announced “iAds,” part of iPhone OS 4; software for developers to make it easier to put ads in their applications. And for the first time while watching an Apple product announcement, I felt sick to my stomach. I don’t mind ads. Ads should exist. They’re a great way to make a program “free” (as in beer) to download. iAds, however, makes me extremely nervous, and has a lot of unanswered questions.
US News names Apple’s Get a Mac campaign “Best Video Ad”
Everyone knows about Apple’s highly successful Get a Mac ad campaigns. With simple, to-the-point messages and interesting characters, they are the perfect commercials for Apple and their products. However, Apple has now created a new iPod touch ad that doesn’t leave its area, but still manages to literally shake the whole Yahoo! games home page. Although the ad itself is familiar, this was a pretty interesting way of applying it.
Check it out after the break.

In “Pizza Box,” PC notes that Mac is the number one selling brand on college campuses, and so, to combat, he tries to lure college students in with the promise of free more »
