Following the recent success of Walter Isaacson’s biography on former Apple CEO Steve Jobs comes another more corporately-focused book on the company that Jobs co-founded and brought so much success to throughout his adult life. Inside Apple by Adam Lashinsky brings to light Apple’s (and Jobs’ as well, to a lesser extent) business side and how the company operates instead of the personal coverage that Isaacson’s biography brought.

It has been well documented that Apple has been preparing a large data center for quite some time now, as it was announced in June 2009. Though there may be many theories as to why Apple is constructing this $1 billion facility, rumor is the company will be pushing its way into cloud computing. The 500,000 square foot data center is five times larger than the one Apple has in Newark, California.

Apple has announced their financial results for the third fiscal quarter of 2010. With the launch of the iPad and iPhone 4, Apple posted record numbers, with $15.7 billion in revenue and a net quarterly profit of $3.25 billion. One year ago, in the same quarter, Apple posted $9.73 billion in revenue and $1.83 billion in profit. It seems Apple, despite all the recent negative press about the iPhone 4, continues to utterly dominate, posting record highs in profit and units sold.

Recently, Apple has been stepping up in the business environment and has really begun hammering it home that they are ready to more aggressively enter this field.
