Original Apple TV prototype shows up on eBay
A prototype for the original Apple TV (called the “iTV” until it was renamed) hit the auction web site eBay with a “Buy It Now” price of $350, for which it ended up being purchased. Photos posted with the auction showed an Apple Development Team inventory barcode and a sticker marking the Apple TV as a “DVT” prototype, as well as listing the manufacturers of the various components used within the device.
Awesome collection of historical Apple items up for sale
Apple user Blair Saldanah has put together quite an amazing collection of Mac memorabilia over the past 25 years, and although it breaks his heart to do it, he’s now in a position to have to sell it off. Normally, Appletell wouldn’t help someone advertise a sale (we’re not Cragi’s List, people), but there really are some excellent Apple fanboy collectibles up for grabs here: an Apple Macintosh Portable Computer, a PowerBook Duo 210, and all manner of buttons, brochures, manuals, T-shirts and more.

6-foot Apple logo for sale on eBay
If you’re terribly fond of old-school Apple memorabilia, this will surely interest you. Mac Resource, an Apple reseller based in Huntsville Alabama, has an auction over at eBay for a six foot-high neon Apple sign. The logo was manufactured from heavy duty wielded aluminum and contains seven neon tubes (representing the old Apple logo colors). more »
