Rumor: iOS 4.3 beta 3 hints at future Apple TV gaming
While it has seemed for quite some time now that Apple has little to no interest in the console or PC gaming markets, some code found in the third beta release of iOS 4.3 suggests the company may have changed its mind. Code snippets from iOS 4.3 beta 3—referencing things such as “ATVGames” and “ATVThunder,” which point to some sort of controller—suggest the company may finally be entering the console gaming market.

Well, not exactly, but the company did post a job listing late last week for Worldwide Developer Relations – Partnership Manager, Casual Games and Social Networking segment. It’s a good sign that Apple is embracing the ridiculously popular social gaming industry, but where’s the job listing for Partnership Manager, Hardcore Games?
World of Warcraft to come to the iPad?
Like World of Warfcraft? Like the iPad? Well, perhaps the two will soon meet. As a photo on the internet shows, David Perry, a game developer, was able to find WOW on a Gaikai server streaming over Wifi to the iPad. And it looks cool. While we know this means it obviously isn’t using Flash, it will certainly be interesting to see not only what it is using but whether there will be a way for WOW users to play it on their iPad.
