MacBook Pro 13″ is a tremendous value, but runs too hot

I’ve had the 13″ MacBook Pro at the top of my shortlist of potential replacements for my Macbook, which is getting a bit long in the tooth, but the hot-running could be a deal-breaker for me. The question now remains; who is making the smarter choice here?

What would you say if I said you could overclock your Mac?

Although finding an overclocking application for Windows is as easy as finding a car in a parking lot, the same thing couldn’t be said for Mac OS X… until now. ZDNet has solved this problem by creating the cleverly named ZDNet Clock that will overclock your processor and memory. For the current version, 1.0, all more »

Maximum PC names MacBook Pro “Best in class”

Maximum PC, a leading computer magazine, has announced Apple’s MacBook Pro as “Best in Class.” The writers over at Maximum PC say they are “taken aback” by how often they see leading PC developers on MacBook Pros at various conferences, and believe that ever since “…Apple swallowed its pride and embraced the x86 instruction set more »
