Appletell reviews the Mobee Magic Charger
Apple’s Magic Mouse is quite possibly the best general purpose mouse on the market. Thanks to its multitouch top that can be utilized for any number of functions, it only needs one button to do the work of many. But there’s one thing missing, rechargeable batteries. Oddly enough, Apple chose to include good old fashion AA batteries with the Magic Mouse, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Mobee has released their Magic Mouse rechargeable battery solution, and it’s pretty cool.
Mobee announces Magic Charger to keep your Magic Mouse charged…magically
Sick of replacing batteries in your Magic Mouse? Disposable batteries really just make the process a little less, well, magical, don’t they? And rechargeables aren’t perfect either. Mobee would like to change all of that with their Magic Charger. It’s a wireless charging solution for the Magic Mouse that replaces the battery compartment and batteries with inductive rechargeables, making charging your Magic Mouse as simple as placing it on the recharge pad.

That said, a new little utility by the name of MouseWizard for Mac will “… give your Magic Mouse two extra buttons, ‘pinch’ and ‘bloat’ trackpad gestures, and special features such as ‘coverup’, to make your Mac go to sleep.”
Apple’s Magic Mouse makes it to retail stores
The current word is that most Apple retail stores have received and begun to sell the new Magic Mouse. We reported earlier that Apple had started giving out shipping notices to customers who bought the Magic Mouse online. I haven’t actually gone to my local Apple retail store, but have also heard from friends that the new mice were there.
Apple releases Magic Mouse, world’s first multi-touch mouse
Without much fanfare, Apple this morning announced the Magic Mouse, “the world’s first multi-touch mouse.” Taking cues from the iPhone and MacBook track pad, the Magic Mouse takes advantage of multi-touch technology to deliver much more control than was possible with buttons and a scroll wheel. Instead the seamless surface reads gestures of one and two fingers to provide functionality. Hold down the control key on your keyboard, and you’ll enable even more multi-touch commands.
