Apple stops Google from using multitouch, dominates touchscreen device industry

According to an Android team member, Google did not implement multi-touch into their T-Mobile G1 because Apple requested they leave it out. Why did Google agree, you might ask? Well, according to this source, he is actually relieved Google chose not to implement it. With the signs that a patent battle is in the works between Palm and Apple, Google wants no chance of ruining their relationship with our favorite company.

Winter friendly iPhone gloves coming soon?

A recent patent filing from Apple shows that they may be working on a pair of gloves that not only protects your hand from the weather but allows you to use your touchscreen phone (I’m sure Apple hopes for this to be for your iPhone). Since touchscreen phones use the electrical impulse on your fingertips, the Apple patent describes a system that would reproduce this pulse. The gloves would contain an aperture or ring link device or cap on the fingertips that could be removed when it comes time to use your phone. When not in use, your gloves could remain weatherproof.
