Apple’s Black Friday deals forthcoming
Tonight, Apple started placing banners in their online stores around the world depicting an image with the date of Nov 25th. The banners clearly inform us that this “special one-day Apple shopping event” is this upcoming Friday, November 25. Worried about losing your expensive Apple device? Try this.
Everyone who’s ever bought an Apple product (or any piece of technology for that matter) knows they can be quite expensive. Losing something with such a large monetary or personal investment behind it would certainly ruin your day regardless of what may have happened beforehand. That’s why it’s important to take the extra step to put yourself in the best position if something like this were to happen. While the only thing that can be done to prevent yourself from losing a device is simply being careful, there may be one thing you can do to help yourself out if you ever do accidentally lose on of these devices; put your trust in the good samaritans left in the world.
Apple’s “holiday lineup is set” but what does that mean?
There have been stories floating around the web claiming that Apple is not going to release anymore products this year. With the new 27″ iMac, Magic Mouse, and unibody MacBook being released last week, this shouldn’t really surprise anyone. However, of interest in this story is how Apple has called the tech website Gizmodo and stated, “The holiday lineup is set.” Now, isn’t this basically what no more products in 2009 means?
Q&A with Steve Jobs offers interesting responses
As usual, many people wanted to interview Steve Jobs after yesterday’s press event to ask him the questions on the top of every Apple fanboy’s mind. This time around, David Pogue’s interview offered some interesting answers to some pretty good questions about Apple and where the company is going. Want to know why there’s no camera in the iPod touch?
Updating products during a recession? Go Mac Mini!
In the midst of a recession, the worst in a while, Apple manages to update three of their most prominent product lines: new Mac Minis, new Mac Pros, and new iMacs. If you ask me, this is a pretty risky endeavor on Apple’s part. Sure, it’s great to keep product lines fresh with the most up-to-date hardware, but during a recession such as this, not as many people are willing to throw down a couple thousand for a new computer. In my opinion, this is the time where the Mac Mini really gets to shine and show Apple what it is worth for their company. By being only $599 for the lowest end model, it is just as cheap as a desktop computer can come (given it has no keyboard, mouse, screen, etc., but many people already have those).
