Effective July 20th, Apple Computer has made some of its software available only through the online Apple Store. In addition, Apple has stopped preinstalled, configured-to-order software from both the Apple Store for Retailers and the online Apple Store. If you want to buy Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server, iLife, iWork, Aperture, and Apple Remote Desktop you have to buy them through the online Apple Store.

Apple has launched a new online store to allow Apple resellers to quickly and easily make orders online through Apple’s website. The new system provides those who resell Apple products (such as those in education and corporations) the ability to create proposals for orders that can be approved by Apple in a much quicker process.

Apple’s China website confirms there is going to be an Apple Store opening in Beijing’s Sanlitun area, but doesn’t say when it is to be opened. It was previously reported that a store would be opening in China on July 19th , but that no longer seems to be the case. However, there are new more »
