Apple planning iPad 2 Special Event for March?

If unconfirmed rumors are to be believed, Apple may be planning a special event to announce the iPad 2 sometime in March. The only other information offered by the source is the image here, which appears to be a bezel for an iPad like device. Is it a rumor backed in truth, or is it just an educated guess?

Apple Special Event video now available

By now, you no doubt want an iPad, but the only things you’ll get for the next 60 to 90 days are images, videos and information that will just make you want it more. Apple wasted little time by posting their first iPad walkthrough video, and now you can stream the entire event. I’m going to go watch it now, and I’m sure you’ll join me by doing the same.

Apple Special Event possible during week of September 7th

You’ve been waiting, and now you have to wait just a little longer…maybe. The guys over at AllThingsD have heard from music industry sources that Apple executives have told them the company will be holding a keynote event for the week of September 7th. Honestly, this isn’t that big of a surprise. Heck, it’s almost tradition for Apple to tease us with rumors all summer and then hold a special event after Labor Day.

Rumor – The Mac Mini and something “huge” to come from Apple this month?

Disappointed by Apple’s Keynote announcements? Me too. We were all expecting something in the way of hardware that wasn’t completely obvious (i.e. the 17″ MacBook Pro). Well, we received some potentially good news. While discussing the fate of the expo with a long-time Macintosh software developer, we received a tip from someone in the know about Apple’s coming plans, and it seems that those plans involve a big finger to Macworld.

Banners for Apple’s Let’s Rock event are up and ready to rock!

As the day draws closer, Apple continues to make preparations for its Let’s Rock special event. Apple has now put up a banner on the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco where the event is to be held.

The banner is in typical Apple style with a dancing person’s silhouette on a colorful background, with an iPod of course. This is clearly truth in advertising, I mean, I can’t not dance when I turn on my iPod. Who can resist? The technology just moves me!

Is this what the new iPod nano and iPod touch look like?

It seems that Alibaba.com has a listing for a “Screen Protector for iPod Nano 4th Gen,” and, potentially far more interesting, a picture of the rumored device.

This lines up with pretty much all of the current rumors for the new iPod nano 4th Gen. It has a click wheel and dock connecter, like we’ve come to expect. This picture appears to suggest the body of the device will be curved, but it looks as if the screen is flat. The screen also seems to be taller, making widescreen video much easier to watch.

Details, and news on the 2nd gen iPod touch, after the break.

Dimensions for rumored iPod nano 4G and iPod touch 2G

iLounge has scraped up some details about the much rumored new iPods that may be coming our way September 9th Apple event.

We’ve reported on rumored dimensions for the new iPod nano before, but this is a first for the iPod touch 2G rumor.

Check out details on the new iPods after the break.

Apple Special Event planned for September 9th? [Update]

MacRumors is collecting some rumors in one article about a possible date for Apple’s next new product announcement. All sources seem to converge on September 9th.

Originally, MacRumors had listed this event as an unverified rumor and didn’t pay a lot of attention to it. But since Kevin Rose, ArsTechnica, and Brian Lam from Gizmodo have all voiced their info and have pretty much agreed on September 9th, they, and we, are paying a little more attention.

Find out to what else the rumors point after the break.
