Apple has been awarded a trademark for their ever so popular (and punned) “There’s an app for that” slogan. Shown in many advertisements, this popular slogan was first filed for trademark on December 4th, 2009 for use in, “Retail store services featuring computer software provided via the Internet and other computer and electronic communication networks; retail store services featuring computer software for use on handheld mobile digital electronic devices and other consumer electronics.”

Earlier Today, the US Patent and Trademark Office published another trademark application. This time, they hope to get approval to trademark “Cocoa Touch,” the code framework that enables developers to take advantage of the touch screen and accelerometer functions of the iPod touch and iPhone.
