Apple to release Apple TV software for use on any Mac?

With MacWorld right around the corner, now is about the time when the rumors start to come from every direction. One such rumor that has recently popped up concerns the Apple TV, a multimedia platform for TVs. This rumor states that the software on Apple TV will become available for any Mac computer via a special download or separate box of software. The price for this software will be anywhere from free to $99. However, it gets sort of interesting when the rumor states that this may allow for a special gaming section of the App Store where users can then turn their iPhone or iPod Touch into a gaming controller for their TV.
