Appletell reviews Puzzle Soccer for iPhone, iPod touch

In terms of games, Puzzle Soccer is a pretty simple one. To play, you simply choose the country you would like to have as your team and then hop right in. In this game, the object is to break all of the soccer balls on the upper part of the screen before they get too low and cause you to lose. To break or pop the soccer balls on top, you can choose one of two methods to kick it; simply tap where you want the character to kick the ball, or you can slide your finger back and forth below as a way to rotate the arrow from left to right.

Appletell reviews Sorter for iPhone, iPod Touch

Sorter is a game where you must drag colored circles to their respective colored areas before they explode. Waiting too long or dragging a circle to the wrong color will cause you to fail the level and have to retry, while scoring 250 or more correctly will allow you to move on. It’s very addicting and very fun. It also has integration with Twitter, Facebook, and OpenFeint.

Appletell reviews Jake for iPhone, iPod Touch

Jake is a maze game that uses the iPhone’s accelerometer for control. In doing so, you must navigate a purple being through various themed levels with different types of power-ups in order to advance. The controls work pretty well in terms of the purple being moving where you think it should. Furthermore, the enemies in each level are at a very nice difficulty that makes it hard, yet not impossible, to get past them.

Appletell reviews Toy Physics for iPhone, iPod Touch

In terms of physics-based games, this one is in some ways unlike many of them I have seen, but is familiar in other ways. In short, Toy Physics involves toys falling from the top of your screen, hitting random obstacles on their way down, and then attempting to fall into a toy box that moves along the bottom of the screen. While most physics games are extremely fun and addicting if done right, I’d say this one is entertaining enough to be near the top.

Appletell reviews iSing for iPhone and iPod Touch

iSing is an application that aims to bring American Idol to the mobile platform. In short, this app allows users to vote the performances of other singers from around the world up or down based on their performance in a short, 30 second audio clip recorded through their iPhone. Also, you are able to record your own performances and publish them for others to vote up or down on. If you’ve been waiting to be heard, this application is your stage.

Appletell reviews Samson’s Go Mic

The Samson Go mic has most all of your mobile microphone needs covered. While an internal microphone might be a small step forward for recording ease, the Samson Go mic is a giant leap forward for quality. The Samson Go mic is a portable mic designed to attach to your notebook (or sit on your desk) and provide the best audio quality available in a tiny package.

Appletell reviews HyperMac’s External MacBook Power Battery

Apple has made their best effort to maximize battery life in their notebook line, but sometimes it’s just not enough. Even if battery life has been extended since previous models, the new MacBooks don’t support swapping of batteries (at least not in a usable fashion). So, what do you do? Call up HyperMac I imagine. They have a new external battery, and it does its job.

Appletell reviews G-Technology’s G-DRIVE mini

Let’s face it; you really can judge pretty about anything just by looking at it. Okay, maybe that’s not completely true, and in the case of the G-DRIVE mini, its beauty runs deeper than just the surface. The G-DRIVE mini is a MacBook Pro user’s dream come true…as far as external storage is concerned anyway. It’s a fanless, triple interface, aluminum encased, external hard drive designed with your Mac in mind. It’s essentially a laptop hard drive inside of an aluminum case with a bunch of connection options. The case looks similar to a Mac Pro, with its front grill and a single piece of aluminum wrapping around the body. When you plug it in, you just know it was made for your Mac, and doesn’t that feel good? Yes. It does.
