Review: JayBird Freedom Bluetooth Headphones

JF3-01-3001

Cutting the cord; it’s what we runners would love to do. Running with headphones can be a huge pain thanks to that thin wire that just refuses to stay out of the way. The obvious solution to this problem is having tunes pumped straight into your brain, but Bluetooth headphones are the most acceptable compromise to date. JayBirds has a few different styles of bluetooth headphones for your wireless pleasure. I took at look at their Freedom headphones to see if they are the solution to my workout woes.

Incase Nylon Sling Sleeve for Macbook Air review

If you’re looking for the perfect bag to carry your MacBook and all of its gear, then look no further than the Incase Nylon Sling Sleeve for Macbook Air. It’s a bag that has everything you want and need in a notebook bag. There’s a handle, shoulder strap, two front pockets and a pocket for papers. In short, it’s about as close to perfect as notebook bags come.

Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 for Mac review

Back in July I reviewed the Wireless Solar Keyboard K750, a Windows PC keymapped keyboard that works fine with the Mac. Now, Logitech has released an official Macintosh version of this solar powered (sunlight and/or indoor lighting) keyboard, and in some respects it’s a more attractive product than the Windows model…although in one aspect it’s not.

Incase Perforated Hardshell Case for MacBook Air 13″ review

The Incase Perforated Hardshell Case is one of the few options you have when it comes to MacBook Air protection. There just aren’t that many hardshell cases available for the Macbook Air. And sadly, this probably isn’t the case that’s going to do it for you and your beloved computer either. Let me explain…

Acme Made Clutch Case for MacBook Air/Pro review

The Acme Made Clutch case is an attractively styled but also surprisingly practical solution for protecting your 13-inch MacBook Pro or MacBook Air from bumps, scratches and abrasion while in transit. Looking more like a portfolio than a computer case, the Clutch features a softly quilted nylon twill interior encapsulated by a designer-coated canvas exterior with polyurethane faux leather trim details.

Microvision SHOWWX+ Pico Projector Review

If you’re in the market for a pico projector and are not limited by price, then look no further than Microvision. They make quite possibly the world’s best and coolest pico projects. Why’s that? One simple reason. Lasers. Microvision pico projectors use lasers to project an image that holds up surprisingly well at some pretty impressive sizes, given dark environments. But that’s not all…

FL Studio HD for iPad review

The main competition for FL Studio HD is Garageband, and while they share some features, these apps really have quite different focuses. I tend to think Garageband is geared more towards musicians who want to record and supplement the instruments they already play, be that guitar, bass, piano, etc. FL Studio HE is all about creating music from scratch using the app as the instrument(s).

GarageBand for iPad review

GarageBand for iOS is a major achievement in music apps. It’s an all in one app that lets you record audio, process a guitar signal and even play your iPad as an instrument with minimal skill necessary. It’s a dream come true for musician’s on the go and a great place to put all of your musical ideas. There’s really no comparison on the App Store. Apple has hit a home run with GarageBand for iOS. Let me tell you why.

Scosche SneakPEEK II AV Adapter Review

Apple makes component, composite, RGB and HDMI adapters, but they don’t make a component/composite adapter. Scosche does. Why would you want an adapter that can’t decide which format it likes better? Sometimes more choices are better, especially when you don’t always know what kind of inputs the display you’re forced into using will have. Scosche’s SneakPEEK II will work with just about any display and will give you higher quality when you have the inputs for it.

Steadicam Smoothee for iPhone 4 review

If you’ve ever taken video with your iPhone 4, or another equally light device, you’ve likely noticed how hard it is to keep it stable. The Steadicam Smoothee is an expensive solution to this problem that can definitely keep your videos from bouncing around, and in the right hands, it can make your video look professional. At $180, it’s one of the most expensive holders you can buy for the iPhone 4, but if you’re serious about taking video with it, it may prove itself invaluable.
