Appletell reviews the Kensington iPhone Car Mount

So, you have the iPhone and the GPS app, but there’s still at least one more thing you need: a car cradle. You can’t just go driving with it in your hand, and it won’t work very well on the passenger side seat. In my endless pursuit of the perfect car cradle, I took a look at Kensington’s solution. It’s a great compromise between price and features, though I do hate using the word “compromise.”

Appletell reviews the Withings WiFi Body Scale

$160 for a scale? Kind of like paying $160 for a toaster, right? Well, suppose that toaster could keep track of your whole grains intake. Suppose it could automatically share your English muffin/Pop Tart preference on Twitter and beam it to your iPhone. Would that make it worth it? Probably not. But with the Withings WiFi Body Scale, it does make for a surprisingly useful (and somewhat addictive) feature set.

Appletell reviews Kaleido R7 digital picture frame

IPEVO’s Kaleido picture frame is surely a step ahead of the rest as far as digital picture frames go. Sure, it displays your pictures, but what digital picture frame doesn’t? It has to do more than that to stand out, and you guessed it, it does. What’s so unique about the Kaleido R7 is that it can be filled with images over your home’s wireless network. It can even get them on its own from the Internet without you lifting a finger.

Appletell reviews IK Multimedia’s StealthPedal

IK Multimedia has really done it this time; they’ve completed the circuit between guitar and computer with the StealthPedal. Now you can have the best of both worlds: the versatility of computerized effects and amps along with the feel of a real expression pedal between you and the computer. IK Multimedia really made a significant improvement on the standard USB guitar interface by adding an expression pedal plus options. Trust me, guitarists won’t be disappointed.
