The Beatles arrive on iTunes
Ladies and gentleman, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Yes, after years and years of lawsuits, arguments, and rumors, the Beatles have finally put their music collection up on iTunes. They’ve got a whole page on iTunes devoted to their music, their performances, and their ads. What’s interesting, though, it that I was able to see them on the store at 8:45AM Central Time, which is a good hour and fifteen minutes before Apple’s website announcement said it would be.
Rumor: Beatles on iTunes…really, for real, they mean it this time
If the heiress of John Lennon is to be believed (that’s Yoko Ono), then tomorrow’s special event might finally bring the Beatles to iTunes. Yoko’s comment made a brief appearance on Sky News and then quickly vanished thanks to the powers that be. It’s similar to the recommendation feature used by movie rental site Netflix and online “radio station” Pandora to help users find new movies and music.
Some very interesting details (including an odd reaction to the Beatles) after the break.

We wrote about the Beatles coming to iTunes on Monday, but this rumor may not be true. We previously reported that Paul McCartney has a $400 million deal with iTunes to put the Beatles on iTunes. The deal would be wonderful because old fans would buy the music again and a younger audience would discover more »
Beatles coming to iTunes
It’s looking like a pretty good chance that The Beatles library is finally coming to iTunes. ThisIsLondon.co.uk reports that Paul McCartney is selling the Beatles’ back catalogue online, valued at over £200 million. Apparently he is selling this to help with his highly publicized divorce from Heather Mills. The Beatles’ singles and albums, including “Help!,” more »
