And the rumors of the October 14th Apple notebook event appear to be true. Apple will hold an invitation only town hall event in San Francisco at 10am Pacific this upcoming Tuesday, featuring what is likely to be a major revision to their portable Macintosh line. The invite sent out today, pictured above, out and out says what the event will be about; a departure from the otherwise furtiveness of Apple’s prior event invitations.

9to5Mac has been teasing for about a year in internet time about the rumored “Brick” codename, and today they came out and told us what it is…a manufacturing process. Now, if you are like me, you’re pretty crazy disappointed, but read on. This manufacturing process is pretty darn cool.

I think a wrecking ball just broke through the ceiling of the building I’m sitting in, because bricks are flying everywhere. Hey, look up in the sky! It’s a MacBook Touch…no, a Mac Mini Pro…no, it’s an Apple TV!

Okay, so here’s another rumor to be taken with all that salt your doctor keeps telling you to cut back on. The Apple brick may actually be a refresh of the Apple TV.

We’ve all heard about the refresh of MacBooks and MacBook Pros. The rumors have been flying, and it’s hard to not start believing at least some of them when they all go in the same direction.

As we reported earlier this afternoon, AppleInsider is adding to the rumors with their latest about the laptops. They say (from sources who admittedly don’t have a long track record) that the new laptops are going to share design inspirations from both the MacBook Air and the current iMac. This suggests that the new design will look something like the render above, only with tapered edges.

MacRumors is adding to the rumors of new Macs with a report about six new placeholder SKUs in the inventory system of Future Shop. Today, Adobe officially announced Creative Suite 4, better known as CS4. Part of that is the almighty Photoshop CS4 and Photoshop CS4 Extended, both complete with a laundry list of new features and updates.

CS4 has been highly anticipated by many, myself included. I’ve been waiting for the next update to finally lay down the cash and own a piece of the monster that is Photoshop. Let’s see if my wait was worth it.
